Problem Note 57814: Hadoop tables cannot be displayed with the SAS® Studio table viewer
The SAS Studio table viewer cannot open tables from a library that uses the Hadoop LIBNAME engine. One of the following error messages might be generated:
ERROR: Libref libref is not assigned
Error trying to establish connection.
A temporary circumvention is to set the SAS_HADOOP_ENABLE_INTERRUPT environment variable to NO before issuing the LIBNAME statement.
You can set the environment variable in a Sasv9_usermods.cfg configuration file that is specific to the application server being used by SAS Studio. Add a command like the following:
-set SAS_HADOOP_ENABLE_INTERRUPT "no"
You can also set the variable in your program in an OPTIONS statement before the LIBNAME statement. For example:
options set=SAS_HADOOP_ENABLE_INTERRUPT=NO;
This is a temporary circumvention that should be removed when this issue is resolved.
